Area Activities

The Junction area offers many activities for the outdoor enthusiast. Fishing and floating the Llano River is a great adventure. The South Llano State Park is home to a large turkey population as well as a wide variety of birds. Hunting opportunities are abundant for whitetail deer, dove, quail and exotics.  The lodge and South Llano State Park afford wonderful opportunities for the bird watcher.  A hundred year old pecan bottom at the lodge is a wonderful habitat for the native birds.

The sites, sounds and attractions of San Antonio are only a couple of hours away for those wanting to make a day trip.

The unique shops and food of Fredricksburg are an hour’s drive and make an entertaining day trip. Other surrounding towns such as Mason and Comfort offer similar relaxed shopping and dining.
